Henry Lee Hatfield Jr. “Hat Dog”, 63, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 24, 1958, a son of the late Henry Lee Hatfield Sr. and Georgia Jane (Bennett) Hatfield Stewart.
Henry is survived by his life partner Della (Wickersham) Hoskins; three children, Thomas Hoskins, Tylisha Hoskins, and Tonya Brown; five grandchildren, Brian Hoskins, Rylyn Hoskins-Rose, Jaxon Hoskins, Ryder Hoskins, and Phillip Hoskins; stepmother Jeanne Stewart; seven siblings, Lonnie Ray (Carol) Jones, Cordia Jane Hatfield, Curtis Leroy Hatfield, Tenia Marie (Mike) Johnson, William Clay Barnett, Mary Jewel (Skip) Thomas, and Robert Scott (Calina) Hatfield; sisters-in-law, Debra Wilson and Paula Wickersham; a brother-in-law, Tom Wickersham; and a special friend, Ronald Wilson.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ora Stewart; a son, Jeremiah Hoskins, and a brother, David Paul Hatfield.
A self-employed carpenter, Henry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gold mining, and playing guitar.
Pastor Rob Starnes will officiate a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 9, at Gretna Brethren Church, 1564 Township Road 46 in Bellefontaine.
