Area Agency on Aging’s free Healthy U at Home program is offering its full community workshop is now offered online via Zoom beginning at 10 a.m. March 19, and continuing once a week for six weeks.
The March/April Zoom workshop topic is chronic disease self-management. The focus is not on one particular disease, but common challenges faced by anyone managing their condition over time, whether that condition is cancer, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, arthritis, or one of the many other conditions that require good self-management skills in partnership with your physician.
Free materials are shipped to participants’ homes so that they can set personal goals, learn new skills, and take charge of their health.
The agency can help individuals become more comfortable with Zoom that as long as their computer or smart phone has an Internet connection, microphone, and camera. A short Zoom orientation is offered before the first session begins.
