A Logan County grand jury handed up indictments last week charging 17 people:
• John Chester Ray, 53, of Ashley: failure to appear as required by recognizance, a felony of the fourth degree;
• George G. Valdez-Miguel, 21, of Columbus: aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second degree; having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle , a felony of the fourth degree;
• Douglas E. Summers, 26, of West Mansfield: attempted murder, a felony of the first degree; felonious assault, a felony of the second degree; domestic violence, a felony of the third degree; and menacing by stalking, a felony of the fourth degree;
• Devin A. Walborn, 25, of Lakeview: breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth degree; misdemeanor criminal trespass,; two counts of misdemeanor endangering children; misdemeanor unauthorized use of property; and misdemeanor petty theft, a of the first degree;
• Jessica W. Vaughn, 38, of Lakeview: breaking and entering, a felony of the fifth degree; misdemeanor criminal trespass,; two counts of misdemeanor endangering children; misdemeanor unauthorized use of property; and misdemeanor petty theft, a of the first degree;
• John L. Lowe, 25, of Zanesfield: misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Randall L. Lowrance Jr., 35, of Bellefontaine: domestic violence, a felony of the third degree; and vandalism, a felony of the fifth degree;
• Andrew S. Keller, 29, of Huntsville: two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence; disrupting public services, a felony of the fourth degree; and attempted felonious assault, a felony of the third degree;
• Jayson Q. Washington, 20, of Columbus: improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree;
• Benjamin W. Rowe, 28, of Lima: felonious assault, a felony of the second degree;
• Adam P. Torma, 28, of Lima: grand theft of a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree; misdemeanor misuse of credit cards; and two counts of misdemeanor petty theft;
• David E. Mathews, 59, of Bellefontaine: domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree;
• Anthony A. Nichols, 19, of Mechanicsburg: three counts of importuning, a felony of the fifth degree; rape, a felony of the first degree; and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony of the fourth degree;
• Eric “Bubba” L. Hatfield, 36, at large: rape, a felony of the first degree;
• Charles D. Sumler Jr., 55, at large: failure to provide notice of change of address, a felony of the third degree;
• Emily B. Draper, 25, at large: interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications, a felony of the fourth degree; and
• Patty A. Vickers, 55, of Bloomville: operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, a felony of the fourth degree; misdemeanor driving under suspension; misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle or agricultural tractor without being in control of it; and misdemeanor failure to comply with opened container or beer or liquor laws.
