A 12-year-old Kenton girl was cited for driving with out a license and violating the city’s minor curfew.
She was stopped around 1:15 a.m. on Powell Avenue near Detroit Street. She admitted to taking her mother’s car and driving to Bellefontaine to meet a friend she met through Facebook. She was released to her parents.
Unwanted bar patron arrested
Keith A. Brantley, 32, of 12058 State Route 720, Lakeview, was charged Sunday with menacing, criminal trespass and persistent disorderly conduct.
Shortly after 2 a.m., officers were called to TP Lanes, 300 E. Lake Ave., after the suspect refused to leave the bar.
Officers talked with a bartender and two women who said the suspect was taking photographs of them and threatening to beat them up along with their boyfriends. The suspect tried to walk off, but was arrested and lodged in jail.
Motorists face OVI charges
Lucas E. Stoltzfus, 23, of 966 Dorothy Lane, was charged Thursday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for running a red light, not using safety belts and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle
Passengers Donald D. Everhardt, 20, of 228 S. Detroit St., and Austin J. Allen, 18, of 220 Oakland Square, each was charged with underage consumption of alcohol.
Around 1:40 a.m., an officer observed a northbound car run a red light at Water Avenue and Main Street. The car was stopped after turning onto Water.
While talking with Stoltzfus, officers detected an odor of alcohol and initiated field sobriety tests. Stoltzfus was taken into custody as a result and given a breathalyzer test. His samples were greater than 0.11.
An open alcoholic beverage was found in the car.
• Paul F. Miller, 54, of 700 Township Road 179, Apt. 10D, was charged Saturday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road after a 2:20 a.m traffic stop in the 1000 block of north Main Street.
He was stopped after his northbound car crossed the center line of the road several times. Officers detected an odor of alcohol while talking with him and initiated field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody based on the results and given a breathalyzer test. His sample was recorded at 0.09.
