On Dec. 1, 1951, she married her high school sweetheart Carl Henry Jr., who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kit Heath.

A 1948 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Gerry worked as a secretary at the Pentagon while her husband was stationed in Washington, D.C. After starting a family, they moved back to Bellefontaine where Gerry took care of the needs of her growing family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her monthly bridge club with her longtime group of friends. In her later years, she was able to enjoy traveling, weekend festivals and flea markets, and she loved working in her flower beds. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we can find comfort in knowing that she and Carl have been reunited in Heaven.
