Gary Lee Voss, 60, of Huntsville, passed away Monday evening, Oct. 30, 2017, at Mary Rutan Hospital Emergency Department.
Gary was born Nov. 16, 1956, in Sidney, a son of Don and Pat Voss, who reside in Lakeview.
On May 27, 1983, he married Terri Kissling at the Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene in Lakeview. She survives along with three daughters, Moriah (Carl) Richter of Lima, Shannon (Joshua Hunsicker) Voss of Bellefontaine and Caitlin Voss of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Eli and Tobias Richter and Phineas and Teaghan Hunsicker; three stepgrandchildren, Brandon, Thomas and Sebastian Hunsicker; a sister, Shelley (Tim) Moebs of Wauseon; a sister-in-law, Teresa Voss of Bellefontaine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Voss.
Gary was a 1975 graduate of Indian Lake High School and studied history and psychology at Mount Vernon Nazarene College. Gary worked at Plastipak in Jackson Center, for 19 years before going to work at Honda Transmission Manufacturing in Russells Point, where he worked for 17 years prior to retiring in 2012. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling, sitting around a campfire and loved spending time with his family including his little dog, Cujo. He was always proud of his children and grandchildren. Gary was a friendly soul who never knew a stranger and was a friend to all that he met.
Pastor Tim Moebs begins memorial services at 11 am, Saturday, Nov. 4, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, where visitation is from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3.
Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the Logan County Sheriff’s Auxiliary and Gideon’s International.
