“The great thing about our league format is if you stumble the first time around, you get a chance to redeem yourself,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jason Calton. “We played a totally different game than we did the first time. We were the aggressor this time and made them play on their heels.”

Rams run away from Riverside
Riverside’s boys basketball team got off to a solid start Friday, but could not keep pace with Upper Scioto Valley over the final three quarters en route to an 84-65 Northwest Central Conference loss.
The Pirates drop to 7-13 overall and 3-5 in the league, while the Rams improve to 14-5, 7-1.
“USV is a pretty solid basketball team,” said RHS head coach Seth Bodenmiller. “They had really good guard play and we had no answer for their big guys down low. I think that we caught them a little off guard in the first half, but we knew that we would have to keep playing great basketball in order to stay with them in the second half.”
