Frank Joseph Tebbe, 86, of Sidney, passed away at the Pavilion in Sidney at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016. He had been ill with cancer for three months.
He was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Sidney, a son of the late Frank L. and Elenora Kinninger Tebbe. Three sisters, Ruth Parker, Martha Baker and Irene Thomas, and two brothers, Arthur Tebbe and Robert Tebbe are also deceased.
On Nov. 18, 1950, he married Roberta Jean Whitehead and she survives in Sidney along with a daughter, Debra Jean O’Connor and husband Paul of Kettering; and a grandson, Robert Fowler of Dayton.
Mr. Tebbe was a pattern maker and owned Tebbe Pattern Works in Sidney at one time. He was a United States Army corporal veteran in the Korean War. He was a member of the Sidney Knights of Columbus where he was a former Grand Knight, and a member of the Sidney American Legion and the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.
A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at at Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. James Riehle officiating. Burial follows at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Calling is at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30. A Knights of Columbus prayer service begins at 6:45 p.m.
