Frances P. Knight Funk, 83, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Logan County on April 26, 1935, to the late Frank H. and May E. Walters Knight.
On Feb. 22, 1957, she married William Earl Funk and he preceded her in death Dec. 19, 2003. Frances was also preceded in death by her siblings, Laura Fullerton, Herschel Leroy Knight, Perry Vincent Knight and Wesley J. Knight.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Moyer of Bellefontaine; son, Rick (Joyce) Funk of West Liberty; grandchildren, Stacey (Vincent Auger) Moyer of Cincinnati, Jason (Murraya Kelly) Moyer of Bellefontaine and Matthew Funk of Columbus; a great-grandson, Vincent Jeffrey Auger; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Don Williams.
Frances retired from Ohio High Point JVS as an educational aid.
She became a homemaker and babysitter for her grandkids for many years. Frances was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine. She loved being with her family and spending time with her friends.
Pastors Gary Brown and Ray Headings officiates a funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, following visitation that begins at noon. Burial is in Greenwood- Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
