Dayton Power & Light workers responded to shut off electricity to the affected units.
Red Cross personnel assisted residents whose electricity was turned off.

Several tenants reported hearing an explosion prior to the fire, Williams said.
Damage estimates for the apartment, which was “a total loss” are around $110,000, firefighters said.
