A city resident was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital after a Thursday kitchen fire caused $25,000 damage to her home.
Elizabeth Conley was present in her 132 Richard Ave. home and reported the 5:30 p.m. fire.
She did not sustain visible injuries, but was transported to MRH for evaluation and possible treatment.
Firefighters of the Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department responded with fire trucks and two squads.
They spent about 90 minutes at the scene confining most of the damage to the kitchen. There was some smoke damage throughout the residence.
Dayton Power & Light Co. crews were called into to secure electrical service to the structure.
