The West Liberty Lions Club introduces for 56th annual Labor Day Festival the new “Peoples Savings and Loan Family Day,” slated for Monday, Sept. 6.
“While the Lions Park has always been a great spot for family activities in our community, we’ve taken steps to enhance the activities planned for that day, with the community’s families in mind,” organizers said.
“For many of us, Labor Day historically signaled the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. While some area schools have already started back, why not spend one last day at the park as a family and enjoy these added features.”
In addition to the splash pad and traditional park and festival attractions, additional children’s activities are planned for Monday, including inflatables, photo booth and kids DJ dance party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with a magician and strolling entertainers during the day.
A kiddie tractor pull begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a cupcake walk at 11 a.m., and a K9 demonstration from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office at noon.
All children ages 12 and under are encouraged to take part in a scavenger hunt, where they can learn some interesting facts about Lions Park and the community. Participants are entered in a drawing for prizes, courtesy of People’s Savings and Loan.
Other donors supporting the Family Day activities include: Bell Hankins Realty- Jeremy Hankins, Edward Jones- Colton Lowry, Reliant Mechanical, Stoner’s Ice Cream Parlor, WL Business Association, Logan Lawn & Landscaping, Quest Community Church, LT’s Uniquities, Country Friends of Ohio, The Design Scribe, Solomon’s Garage, Neer & Farm.
