A city man was arrested for felony domestic violence after his girlfriend went to Mary Rutan Hospital complaining of a head injury Tuesday evening.
Catherine Stockman went into the hospital at about 7:40 p.m. and revealed that her injury was caused by Zachariah A. Bates, 29, of 341 S. Detroit St., at her 813 Heritage Court, Apt. 40, residence earlier that night.
He reportedly struck her in the head hard enough to knock her unconscious and unable to see straight.
Bates has at least two prior convictions for domestic violence and is on parole with the Allen County Adult Parole Authority, officers report.
