Eva L. Kennedy, 72, of Huntsville, passed away Dec. 8, 2017, surrounded by her family at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Bellefontaine, to the late Mary Shepard. On October 13, 1962, she married the love of her life, Michael Kennedy, and he survives.
Eva adored her three grandchildren, Ashley (Danny) Peters of Washington, D.C., and Megan Kennedy and Justin Kennedy, both of Lima. She also enjoyed reading, arranging flowers and decorating, spending the winters in Avon Park, Fla., and visiting with her wonderful friends. She was also a member of Gretna Brethren Church and the Moose Lodge of Lakeview.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Kennedy; sons, Steven Kennedy (Renee) of Lima, and Jaime (Kelly) Kennedy of Akron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mary Shepard; and daughter, Evette Kennedy.
Memorial services will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Gretna Brethren Church, 1564 Township Road 46, Bellefontaine, where visitation is from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
