Donna Dean “Deanie” Kennaw, 80, of Russells Point, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 14, 2017, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on March 12, 1937, in Lima, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Violet Weeks Knott. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.
Deanie is survived by five children, Stoney Odle Sr., Tonya (Bacilio) Ramirez and Tabitha (Drew) Altstadt, all of Lakeview, Tammy (Tony) Houchin of Belle Center and Tracy (Jack) Norviel of Bellefontaine;16 grandchildren, Jesse Odle, Stoney (Taylor) Odle Jr., Ashley (John) Sidders, Camille Odle, Tasha Ganson, Jodi (Barry) Cooper, Billi (Matt) Hurley, Rachelle (Ben) Ruth, Eric (Kiersten) Houchin, Bacilio (Terry) Ramirez III, Timothy (Amanda) Ramirez, David Ramirez, Elisha (Jared) Arnott, Chelsey (Tanner) Norviel, Megan Lee Shoffner and Ronald Shoffner III; 25 great- grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Larry (Sandra) Knott of Lakeview, special nieces, Holly Maier and Char (Sean) Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews of the Kennaw family.
Deanie was a 1955 graduate of Lima South High School. She formerly worked at Trade-N-Post II and Midway Marathon in Lakeview, and J’s One-Stop. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Deanie enjoyed bowling, traveling, going to the beach and cooking. She was known for helping anyone she saw in need. Deanie loved being with her family and going to their events or activities.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, where funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19. The Rev. Karen Blackburn officiates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to Universal Hospice Care, 701 S. Main St. Bellefontaine OH 43311.
