Eunice Marie DeHaven, 89, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her home.
Eunice was born April 20, 1929, in Forest, a daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Arnold Ropp.
On Dec. 5, 1948, she married Don E. DeHaven in Dunkirk, and he survives along with their daughter, Dawn (Carey Michael) Palmer of Findlay; two grandsons, Dr. Ryan (Michaelle) Palmer of Dublin and Sean (Morgan) Palmer of Findlay, four greatgrandchildren; and her very special sister, Evelyn Crawford of Bradenton, Fla.
Eunice was a 1947 graduate of Dunkirk School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio Northern University.
She taught for 21 years at Kenton Middle School.
Eunice was a member of Dunkirk United Methodist Church and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed wood carving, sewing, quilting and being outdoors gardening or boating on Indian Lake.
She loved being with her family and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother; a true role model for all who knew her.
Private family services will be at a later date through arrangements by Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
