Erma B. Shultz, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, in Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.
She was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Monroe Township to the late Samuel K. and Lillie Belle Stallsmith Lovett.
She was the youngest of 10 children. She married Farrell M. Shultz on Nov. 10, 1945, and he preceded her in death March 21, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Plahovinsak.
She is survived by her children, William (Susan) Shultz of DeGraff and Ann (Stan) Morrison of Grand Junction, Colo.; son-in-law, John Plahovinsak of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren, Michael (Jen) Plahovinsak, Joseph Shultz, Lillie (Clint) Moreno, Jacob Plahovinsak, Sam Morrison, Molly Morrison and Tom Morrison; and two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Erma Plahovinsak and Evonne Susan Plahovinsak.
Erma was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine and a former member of the Rum Creek United Methodist Church. She graduated from Monroe High School and Miami Valley School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Mary Rutan Hospital.
A celebration of life is conducted by the Rev. Rob Ulmer at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in the Rum Creek United Methodist Church, 3693 County Road 34, DeGraff. Burial is private in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
