A pair of issues to request voter approval for alcohol sales, including on Sundays, will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot following action taken today in a special meeting of the Logan County Board of Elections.
Separate petitions submitted by DGJL LLC to allow for alcohol sales, including on Sundays, at 2303 S. Main St. had previously been rejected by the board after signatures included on the petitions didn’t match signatures on file with the board of elections office.
In all, 17 total signatures were initially disallowed, which had left petitioners short of the necessary names to get on the upcoming ballot.
However, the elections board reported that eight of the original signatories submitted notarized affidavits affirming the validity of that original signature.
