• At Hopewell United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is celebrated Maundy Thursday by distributing the elements in a drive-through manner from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the church parking lot. The Good Friday Tenebrae worship service is online at 7: p.m. at https://www.facebook.com/HopewellOhio. A drive-in Easter worship service begins at 9 a.m. Sunday on the north side of the church parking lot. The Easter service also will available online at 10:30 a.m. A Prayer Walk, Stations of the Cross, will remain at the church parking lot throughout the Easter season.
• An online Good Friday service is planned at Gretna Brethren Church for 7 p.m. Friday, including Three-Fold Communion found at www.gretna.life You will need: bread, juice, a wash basin, towels and each other. Easter Sunday, Pastor Rob Starnes presents the online message of Resurrection at 9:45 a.m. via the website www.gretna.life, with scripture from Luke 24:1-12. “The resurrection of Jesus is sometimes considered to be more akin to a fairy tale, or a morally inspiring story, than a historical fact. But if the resurrection is not a fact, then the Christian faith is empty and pointless.” Updates available through the Gretna website and the Gretna App, where online tithing is available. • Common Ground Church hosts a Good Friday Live Stream Gathering at 9 p.m. Friday to symbolically journey with Jesus on His way to the cross through scripture, liturgy, mediation, and the five senses. Participants will need: a device to watch the live stream from the church Facebook page; a quiet space with minimal distractions; a candle, a lighter/matches, a sheet of white paper (one for each person watching), a black marker, a red marker, a pen, a handful of loose change, a nail or similar pointed object, and bread and juice for communion. The church also hosts a Sunrise Worship Gathering Live Stream at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, followed by a second online worship gathering at 10 a.m. Sunday.
