Ryan E. Rose, 35, of 2623 N. U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine, was charged with a felony count of failure to comply with the order of a police officer, along with a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, following an incident Tuesday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol in the area of U.S. 68 and County Road 113 observed a speed violation with his vehicle about 7:45 p.m.
Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, and Mr. Rose reportedly made an eastbound turn onto C.R. 113. He then turned off his headlights and drove to a nearby property to attempt to hide from deputies.
Signs of intoxication were observed, and the defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. He also received a summons for an open container in a motor vehicle and was cited for speed.
