Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are investigating the suspect drug overdose death of a former Kenton man.
Tyler J. Prater, 24, was found dead seated at a kitchen table around 12:20 a.m. Thursday at 509 S. Detroit St., Apt. 3, where he was temporarily staying.
It appears he died of an overdose. Officers report he had a history of drug abuse.
The Logan County Coroner’s Office ordered an autopsy which will include a toxicology report.
Fishing poles taken from pickup
Bradley Hoover, 348 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 7, reported Wednesday three fishing poles, a tackle box and other fishing equipment was stolen from the bed of his pickup truck some time between 11:30 a.m. and noon. He told officers he is sure the items were there when he parked the pickup for a brief stop at his apartment.
