Cheyanne Hunter, 21, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield while turning left after a crash just before noon Saturday.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report she was northbound and turned into Tim Horton’s Restaurant, 514 S. Main St. Her sport utility vehicle blocked the path of a southbound motorcycle operated by James H. Rumer Jr., 50, of Bellefontaine, who sustained possible injuries, but was not transported for treatment.
Damage was light to both vehicles.
The Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department responded with an engine and squad.
Motorist faces OVI charge
Kyle W. Poe, 24, of 3573 Township Road 45, was charged Thursday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for not using a turn signal, speeding, a stop sign violation, no operator’s license and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
His passenger, Sage Ryan, 22, at large, was charged with consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Around 2:20 a.m., an officer on patrol paced Poe driving at 50 mph on Main Street and stopped him in the 600 block of north Detroit Street.
He had a 1/4-full cup of beer between his legs and there were open cans of beer in the car.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired by alcohol. His breathalyzer samples came back at greater than 0.15.
Officers found a prescription pill bottle with marijuana Ryan’s right front pants pocket.
