Man lodged for assault, criminal trespass
Danny L. Reprogle, 39, address at large, was charged with criminal trespass and assault related to an incident Sunday afternoon at the Dollar General, 10556 N. U.S. Route 68, Belle Center.
Deputies responded to the business about 12:10 p.m. for a report of an assault. They spoke with Adam Emrick, 32, of Bellefontaine, who stated Reprogle got in his face and asked him if he wanted to fight. The defendant reportedly began pushing at Emrick and also pushing his way into the office area of the business.
Emrick advised he was not injured, but had sustained possible red marks on his back from the incident.
The store manager informed deputies that Reprogle had previously been trespassed from the business because of prior incidents. She told the defendant he needed to leave or she was calling law enforcement, and that’s when the altercation began with Emrick.
Reprogle told deputies he had sustained an abrasion to his elbow and leg during the incident. He was placed under arrest and lodged in the jail. Deputies were working to obtain a cell phone video from a customer of the incident.
