Scott Rollins, 25, of Springfield, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was cited for a marked lanes violation following a traffic stop about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department report he was operating a southbound pickup on State Route 235 in the area of County Road 91 and was stopped for numerous lane violations.
Upon making contact with the driver, officers observed signs of intoxication. Mr. Rollins submitted to field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he refused to submit to a chemical test. Wren’s Service Station towed the vehicle and he was released to a sober driver.
