Zanesfield Village Council members accepted at their Monday evening meeting at the Tri-Valley Fire Department a donation that will assist with maintenance activities at the Helen Wonders Blue Park.
Robert Blue donated $600 for the cause. Additionally, he is providing funds to enable Boy Scouts of America members to mulch the park.
Council member Mark Berkfield also has purchased six flags and is donating them to the village.
Members also discussed the village’s block party that is slated for noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 24. Area vendors are welcome to participate.
In village maintenance matters, members approved a resolution for the Logan County Engineer’s Office to install a guardrail at the corner of Main Street and County Road 10 to protect the new drainage culvert. Members accepted the project at a cost of $2,206.
Following the winter weather conditions earlier this year, council discussed that there are several bad spots in the roadways in the areas of Sandusky and Water streets. Crews will repositioning some of the road signs that may be out of place following the hard winter.
Council members also issued a reminder to residents that parking in the alleyways is not permitted.
The finance committee met and approved the submitted March financial reports.
Members approved paying the bills, totaling $1,304.67.
The next meeting is 7 p.m. May 3 at the Tri-Valley Fire Department.
