Dianna L. Hurley, 66, of Huntsville, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 12, 1951, to the late Roland and Blanche Ferguson Harrington.
In 1995, she married William S. “Bill” Hurley and he survives in Huntsville.
She is also survived by her children, Robert (Rose) Harrington, William Lynn Hurley and Tamara (Stewart) Jenkins, all of Bellefontaine, Brian Hurley of Huntsville and Jerry S. Hurley of New York; a grandson, Robby (Bre) Harrington, whom Bill and Dianna raised; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Roland (Marie) Harrington of Marion, Bill (Kristi) Harrington of West Liberty, Kathi (Rick) Hoops of Jackson Center, David (Lynn) Harrington of Woodruff, S.C., Richard (Andrea) Harrington of Millville, N.J., and Joe (Carol) Harrington of Bellefontaine; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and lots of Mary Rutan Hospital family.
Dianna was a 1969 graduate of Indian Lake High School and attended Ohio Hi-Point JVS, studying computer science. She spent 26 years as the switchboard operator at Mary Rutan Hospital, and was known as “the voice of Mary Rutan Hospital.” Dianna loved to read and listen to ’50s and ’60s music. She enjoyed fishing, flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. Dianna was very excited for her new great-grandchild that is on the way. She was a people lover and all who knew Dianna will truly miss her.
Pastor Byran Meadows officiates a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery. The family requests that attendees wear casual attire.
