A 22-year veteran of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office has been hired to help keep the Benjamin Logan School District safe.
Deputy Matt Robinson was hired through a contract with the sheriff’s office just a week after parents went to the school board asking for additional safety precautions for their children.
“The environment in school districts is changing and we need to be proactive,”
Superintendent Dave Harmon said. “Our constituents need to know that we are doing everything we can to keep their children safe when they leave them here at school.
“Our parents wanted this done right now and I felt it needed to be handled immediately.”
