Resignation of Mayor Jennifer Bowman was accepted at the outset of a regular DeGraff Village Council meeting Tuesday, and filling that vacancy leaves an open seat on council.
Bowman submitted a brief resignation letter shortly after calling Tuesday’s meeting to order, citing personal reasons.
Council accepted the resignation, “with regret.”
Councilwoman Beth Neeley was approved to fill the remainder of the term, which expires at the end of this year.
Bowman had been mayor since 2016, and is also a previous member of council.
