Danny J. King, 62, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 10:28 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Gary, Ind., a son of James and Inez Mitchell King. In April 1988 he married the former Constance Thorps and she preceded him in death in 2006. Danny is also preceded in death by three siblings, Betty Williams, William “Billy” King and Lana (Jerry) Bevil.
He is survived by three daughters, Angela Lou, Kathy Kay and Samantha Marie; several grandchildren; one brother, James “Jimmy” King Jr.; sister-in-law, Debbie King; his beloved nephews, Clayton, Chance, Cory, Dexx, Tommy and Willie; and other nieces and nephews.
Danny will be missed by all his many friends at Desperado’s. He loved to fish and was well known for being an animal lover. Over the years Danny had several dogs that were very special to him, Tuco, JoJo, Mouser and Creed.
Pastor Gary Brown officiates a funeral service at noon Saturday, Sept. 22, at the First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., Bellefontaine. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Burial is in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
