Crews with Yoder Concrete Construction LLC poured 60 cubic yards of concrete Thursday to cover 3,200 square feet of the Logan County Courthouse’s new north side entry plaza. A labyrinth of heating tubes weaved into plastic forms, such as the one in the foreground, lays under the concrete. Heating the plaza will improve pedestrian safety; reduce manpower and material costs for snow and ice removal; preserve the life of the concrete; and as another maintenance cost savings, reduce the amount of grime tracked into the courthouse once it is open to the public.
