Logan County Sheriff Randall J. Dodds shakes hands with two correction officers who were promoted to the rank of corporal Thursday — Miriam Reames, above, and Shawn McIntire, below. Cpls. McIntire and Reames each will begin their duties as correction officer supervisors Feb. 10 at the jail and juvenile detention center. Cpl. McIntire started with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office as a correction officer Nov. 8, 2014, and Cpl. Reames began her career as a corrections officer Sept. 16, 2015. Both new supervisors fill vacancies following lateral moves within the office during recent years, including one supervisor who became the Logan County Dog Warden and another who transferred to the supervisor role for the inmate work program in conjunction with the Logan County Solid Waste Management District.
