Connie L. Napier, 70, of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born in Warren on Oct. 1, 1947, a daughter of the late John “Jack” Conrad Porter and Lois Darlene Smith Stapleton. She is also preceded in death by a great grandson, Avery Clark; a sister, Lois “Toots” Munz; and two brothers-in-law, Phillip Ball and Tom Sheeley.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, JD Napier, whom she married March 6, 1966; their three daughters, Nancy Coleman of Las Vegas, Nev., Tina (Marty) Kennedy of Sanford, Fla., and Lisa Napier of Marysville; grandchildren, Bobbie Cooley, Ashley Wheeler, Shenna Oswalt, Randi Morris, Sonja Morris, Jacob Hawk, Sabrina Petty, Becky Morris, Zack Coleman and Vince Coleman; 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Darlene “Sue” Ball and Dianna Sheeley and John (Sandy) Porter, all of Bellefontaine, Patty (Tommy) Wipf of Silverton, Colo., Kim (Don) Maynard of Irving, Texas, Beverly Porter of Huntsville, Karen (Bob) Davis of Lakeview and Art “Bud” (Heather) Stapleton Jr. of Urbana; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Connie retired from Kroger in Bellefontaine and had also worked for Beeline Clothing as a sales consultant. Along with her husband JD, they owned and operated the former Four Seasons Tanning Salon in Bellefontaine. Connie enjoyed bowling and loved to play cards. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved family get-togethers.
Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
