Colton Robin Dale Park, 19, of Lakeview, passed away early Friday morning, June 17, 2016, at Lima Memorial Health System, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Colton was born on April 30, 1997, in Lima, to Lisa Van Gundy Park, who survives in Lakeview, and the late Robin Park. He also was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luther and Ethel Grow Park.
Also surviving are a sister, Hannah Elizabeth Kay Park; maternal grandparents, Dale and Valerie Van Gundy of Jackson Center; aunts and uncles, Gina and Aaron Jenkins, Anita Park, Cindy Park and Beth Park; his girlfriend, Amber Eitel; and Steve Fridley; and numerous cousins.
Colton was a 2015 graduate of Indian Lake High School and the Ohio Hi-Point auto technician program. He was attending the University of Northwest Ohio with a goal of receiving his bachelor’s degree in high performance racing, and was building a race car. In 2014, he became an Eagle Scout. He was attending Grace Chapel Church, Santa Fe.
The Rev. Scott Anderson officiates a memorial service at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, with visitation three hours prior.
Memorial contributions may be given to the auto technology program at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center in care of Rodney Peterson.
