Bellefontaine’s girls and Benjamin Logan’s boys swim teams came away with wins Tuesday during the Logan County meet at the Hilliker Y.
The Chieftains won the girls meet with 149 points, the Raiders were second with 72 points and the Lakers were third with 57 points.
The boys meet saw the Raiders pull out a 100-91 win over the Chiefs. The Lakers finished third with 83 points.
Earning wins for the Bellefontaine girls were Abby Kite in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Morgan Henry in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly, Chloe Reynolds in the 500 freestyle, Sarah Starkey in the 200 freestyle, the 200 medley relay of Henry, Sarah Starkey, Kite and Sarah Fulmer and the 200 freestyle relay of Henry, Fulmer, Sarah Starkey and Kite.
Runner-up finishes for the Lady Chiefs went to Fulmer in the 50 freestyle, Vivian Eader in the 100 butterfly, Sarah Starkey in the 100 backstroke, Olivia Ullom in the 200 individual medley, Joslyn Robinson in the 200 freestyle, Maddi Jackson in the 500 freestyle, the 200 medley relay of Samantha Starkey, Robinson, Jackson and Olivia Eader and the 400 freestyle relay of Reynolds, Samantha Starkey, Ullom and Robinson.
Lucas Harrington sparked the BHS boys with a win in the 200 freestyle. Runner-up finishes came from Quinton Bible in the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle, Harrington in the 50 freestyle, Christian Keene in the 100 freestyle, Preston Henry in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 medley relay of Bible, Henry, Brandon Gamble and Keene and the 400 freestyle relay of Harrington, Imanol Calderon, Aidan Mifsud and David Moody.
Adding third-place efforts were Calderon in the 200 individual medley, Gamble in the 100 butterfly and Henry in the 100 freestyle.
Max Leezer highlighted Ben Logan’s boys by winning the 100 breaststroke with a new school-record time of 1:11.65. He also won the 50 freestyle, while Carter Rees won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Second-place finishes came from Kelvin Ong in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle with a fourth-place finish being added by Noland King in the 500 freestyle.
Winning events for the Raider girls were Gabrielle Schmidt in the 100 breaststroke, Annika Simovart in the 200 individual medley and the 400 freestyle relay of Simovart, Schmidt, Junette Ly and Aliya Pelger. Simovart also took second in the 100 freestyle.
Placing third for Ben Logan’s girls team was the 200 medley relay of Liberty Hays, Grace Grant, Corinne Herring and Allison Moore, while fourth-place finishes came from Schmidt in the 50 freestyle, Ly in the 100 backstroke, Maven Rhodes in the 200 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay of Libby Hays, Allison Moore, Maria Henderson and Herring.
Recording first-place finishes for Indian Lake’s boys were Ryan Braig in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley, Caden Paavola in the 500 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relay of Paavola, Braig, Reid Vance and Lane McPherson.
Adding second-place finishes were Vance in the 100 backstroke and the 200 freestyle relay of Paavola, McPherson, Vance and Braig. Taking third were Paavola in the 50 freestyle and Brant Parsell in the 200 freestyle.
For the Laker girls, Liza Shutway led with a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke with a second-place finish also coming from the 200 freestyle relay of Lily Jenkins, Paige Mefford, Macie Robinson and Shutway.
Finishing third for IL were Ashlyn Shaner in the 200 freestyle, Kassidy Crockett in the 50 freestyle and Ella Wagner in the 500 freestyle. Crockett also took fourth in the 100 freestyle.
