The Chiefs bring their record to 10-4-2 overall and finish 6-2-1 in the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division. The Pioneers move to 7-5-3, 6-1-2.
“I don’t want to take anything away from this Jonathan Alder team, but I feel like we should have been able to win this game,” said BHS head coach Steve Henry. “Right now we are struggling with finding a rhythm offensively. We are also not doing well on defending set pieces by the other team. We only have a couple of days to fix it because now we start the tournament where every game is going to be intense.”
After a scoreless first half, Bellefontaine’s Daunte George scored on a solo shot at the 29-minute mark to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage.
