Bellefontaine’s baseball has knocked off an impressive group of teams in its Division I tournament run. The Chiefs hope to add Milford to their list of wins when the two teams meet Thursday in a regional semifinal at the University of Cincinnati.

“We have to continue to be ourselves,” said BHS head coach Art Caudill. “We have to take care of the things we can control. We just have to keep competing.”
Milford shared the Eastern Cincinnati League title this spring with Loveland, which Bellefontaine beat 3-1 in a district final Monday at Kettering Fairmont.
The Eagles can beat teams with their bats — they are averaging nearly nine runs per game — as well as with their pitching and defense. Opponents are scoring just 2.4 runs per game against them.
“They have a very strong baseball team that has great hitters in the top half of their order,” said Caudill. “They are fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game. They have only lost two games and they have played a very tough schedule.”
