Riverside graduate Paige Atterholt recently finished a stellar softball career at Heidelberg University.
Atterholt compiled a career record of 48-19 in the pitching circle for the Student Princes. She holds the school’s single-season wins record with 19. She is also the career leader in wins (48), complete games (47) and innings pitched (424 1/3). She ranks second in strikeouts (188).
She earned Ohio Athletic Conference pitcher of the week honors during her junior and senior seasons. She recorded two no-hitters and one perfect game during her time at Heidelberg.
While playing for the Student Princes, she was part of back-to-back OAC championship teams. Her senior class won 101 games, setting a school record for most wins by a graduating class.
In addition to her success on the field, Atterholt was a three-time all-OAC academic selection.
Atterholt recently accepted a position at Clyde City Schools and will be teaching sixth-grade as an intervention specialist.
