A junior, Fulmer earned her third trip to state by finishing second in both the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke at Friday’s Division II district meet at Miami University.
Also a junior, Arn qualified for the state meet for the second straight season by placing fifth in the 50 freestyle and seventh in the 100 freestyle Friday.
The state meet is Thursday and Friday at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton. Fulmer broke her own school records in both the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. She recorded a time of 50.22 in the 100 freestyle and 55.17 in the 100 backstroke.
Fulmer is seeded second in both events for the state meet.
“Amy is having a tremendous season,” said Bellefontaine head coach Sharon Lewis. “She continues to push herself daily while working diligently to improve the small stuff. Her focus is forward and with her goals in mind she is preparing for an unforgettable finish.”
