Chester L. “Lee” Nafziger, 70, of Bellefontaine, OH, formerly of Russells Point, OH, passed away, Friday, November 26, 2021, at Belle Springs Care Center, Bellefontaine.
Chester was born on May 24, 1951, in Wauseon, OH, a son of the late Chester J. and Doris Marie King Nafziger.
Lee is survived by his son, Chad (Michelle) Nafziger of Lakeview, OH, two grandchildren, Kaytie (Matt) Greene of Piqua, OH, and Kody (Ivy) McGue of Wapakoneta, OH, four great grandchildren, Layne McGue, Brooklyn, Harper, and Landon Greene, five siblings, Ruth Ann (Vic) Hildebrand of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel Hartzler and Marilyn Moe, both of Goshen, IN, Leonard (Margaret) Nafziger of Bryan, OH, and Mark (Stephanie) Nafziger of Rochester, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Lee was a 1969 graduate of Pettisville High School. He also attended Hesston College in Kansas. Lee worked as a machinist at Reese Products in Indiana for 20 years and then worked as an independent truck driver for 15 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing his guitar for his mother, Doris, and spending time with his family. He had a shared interest in automobile racing with his son and they attended many events together over the years.
