Charles David Wroten, 77, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born in Hardin County on Aug. 26, 1939, to the late Charles and Mary Bell Stewart Wroten. On Aug. 17, 1963, he married the former Kay Kindell and she survives.
Along with his wife of 53 years, Dave is survived by his son, Greg Wroten of Bellefontaine; and special friends, Craig and Wendy Rutan of Bellefontaine.
Dave worked 16 years at DAB in Bellefontaine before becoming self-employed. He and his family operated Dave’s Donuts in Bellefontaine for a few years. Dave was a past exalted ruler of the Bellefontaine Elks. He loved sprint car and drag racing and drag raced for many years. Dave enjoyed boating on Indian Lake and being outdoors.
Pastor Chuck Temple officiates a graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the committal building in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center.
