Carroll Jean Hoge, 81, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Ayden Healthcare of Belle Springs in Bellefontaine surrounded by her loving family.
Carroll was born November 26, 1940, in Quincy, OH to the late Harold and Martha (Hinkle) Landis. On February 26, 1967 she married the love of her life Roland Carol Hoge, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, the first couple to be married in the church.
Carroll was member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years. She retired from Siemens of Bellefontaine after 28 years of dedicated work.
Carroll enjoyed planting and taking care of her plants around the house. She loved spending time with her family, getting together for family gatherings and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She loved her family deeply and that love continued on into her everyday life. Being a very caring and loving lady that was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need and made sure they went without nothing. Through this love she shared with everyone, not only her family, she never knew a stranger. Carroll was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years; Roland Carol Hoge; children, Doug Allen (Jennifer) Hoge, Crystal Ann Roebuck and Mike (Amity Vanhoose) Hoge; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Blake) Lantz, Drake Roebuck, Hayes (Bailey Smith) Roebuck, Carter (Cheyenne Alten) Hoge, Michaelee Hoge and Jody Haines; great grandchildren, Cason Hoge and Presley Palmer; siblings, Bill Landis, Jane (Mike) Webb; sister-in-law, Ruth Landis; brother-in-law, Curt Stonerock; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ivan Landis and Betty Stonerock; sister-in-law, Judy Landis.
A Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 7, at noon at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. and again on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Bellefontaine Cemetery following the service.
