A deputy of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office who was on foot patrol about 3 p.m. Monday was contacted by an employee of C.J.’s Bar, 105 E. Lake St., Lakeview, who discovered that a break-in had occurred at the business.
The employee reported arriving to open the business that day to find that a rear door had been pried open. Inside the bar, a juke box and two pool tables had been pried open and an unknown amount of money had been removed. Investigation continues.
Inmate charged with assault

Joshua M. Hayes, 29, who is currently incarcerated at the Logan County Jail, was issued a misdemeanor assault charge Friday related to an incident at the jail.
Fellow inmate Dwayne L. Brown, 32, reported Friday that Mr. Hayes allegedly grabbed him from his bunk and then punched him several times in the face. Mr. Brown was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for medical treatment.

Weekend OVI arrests reported
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report the following arrests during their weekend patrols:
• Kevin J. Kipker, 40, of Lakeview, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for no taillight during a traffic stop about 10:25 p.m. Saturday on State Route 235 in the Indian Lake area.
He refused to take a blood alcohol content test.
• Anthony Luchini, 28, of Lima, was charged with OVI and was cited for speed during a traffic stop about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on S.R. 235 in the Indian Lake area.
He also refused to take a BAC test.
• Gene A. Homan, 34, of Belle Center, was charged with OVI and was cited for speed and no operator’s license during a traffic stop about 1:05 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 68 north of Bellefontaine. He tested a 0.096 blood alcohol content level.
