Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities Superintendent Saul Bauer provided updates at the recent board meeting regarding upcoming Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month events for March.
Activities will kick off with an “Include Me Too” event from 9 a.m. to noon March 2 at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center featuring family fun activities. Donations will support the Come Play at the Peak project toward building handicapped accessible playgrounds in Logan County.
The board’s annual Elected Officials Breakfast is planned for 8 a.m. Thursday, March 7.
The Logan County Braves and other area residents are invited to participate in the Indian Lake Polar Plunge March 9 in support of Special Olympics of Ohio. Check-in is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Indian Lake Family Moose Center, 11044 Lake St., Lakeview. A costume contest begins at 1:15 p.m., and the Polar Plunge is from 1:30 to 2 p.m. A postplunge party is from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Family Moose Center.
The annual LCBDD Community Basketball Game is slated for 6 p.m. March 12 at Bellefontaine Middle School, also with proceeds to support Come Play at the Peak.
