Betty Parker, 81, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2017, at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center.
Born in Crockett, Ky., on June 2, 1935, to the late Albert and Sarah Adkins, she married William E. Parker on Dec. 25, 1957, in Urbana and he preceded her in death Feb. 25, 2016.
She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Ann Parker in 1962; a son, Jeffrey Wayne Parker in 2007; two sisters and several brothers.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Teresa Parker and son, Jerry (Diana) Parker, both of Bellefontaine; seven grandchildren, Douglas Mattox, Christina Mattox, Chastity Morris, Erica Morris, Tom Warner, Tim Warner and Casey Dixon; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister in Kentucky; and a brother in Pennsylvania.
A loving wife and mother, Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed reading books. She loved her grandchildren and cherished her time spent playing games on her computer.
Pastor Ron Irick officiates a graveside service at noon Wednesday, March 29, in the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
