Bellefontaine and West Liberty-Salem’s cross country teams sent a some of their runners to compete in the Young’s Dairy Invitational on Tuesday to finish the regular season.
Carroll won the boys meet with 48 points, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes was second with 80 points and Miami Trace was third with 101 points.
The Tigers finished 11th with 290 points and the Chieftains were 12th with 295 points.
The FCA squad won the girls race with 35 points, Springfield Shawnee took second with 79 points and Bellbrook was third with 86 points. Bellefontaine’s girls finished 10th with 272 points. WL-Salem’s Josh Spinner won the boys race with a time of 16:41.5, which moves him to 12th on the school’s all-time 5K list. Also racing for the Tigers were Ian Maurice in 51st (18:58), Owen Harrison in 79th (19:35), Adam LaRoche in 125th (20:31) and Hayden Miller in 153rd (21:15). Jacob Engroff-Meyer led the Bellefontaine boys in 15th (17:55), Brandon Basillio came in 43rd (18:46) and Neil Kauffman was 99th (20:00).
Rounding out the Chiefs were Micah Woolf in 105th (20:09), Joe Eckhoff in 128th (20:39), Gannon Purcell in 137th (20:54), Ethan Morales in 148th (21:08), Carter Snapp in 151st (21:13), Declan Shannon in 157th (21:25), Levon Howard in 168th (21:55), Kyle Carper in 188th (23:05), Nate Hardy in 192nd (23:18) and Jaxon Sopher in 235th (34:12).
Bellefontaine’s girls were led by Brooke McClellan in third with a time of 20:58.
The rest of the team saw Aubrey Hudson in 118th (31:43), Sophie Adelesberger in 119th (31:47.5), Morgan Johns in 120th (31:47.6), Cheyenne Shade in 121st (31:47.7) and Nisha Patel in 122nd (31:47.8).
