Bellefontaine’s wrestling team finished with six placers and a 13th-place finish Saturday at the Miami Trace McDonald’s Invitational.
Miami Trace won the 17-team tournament comfortably with 236 points, Warren was runner-up with 164.5 points and Wyoming took third with 158 points.
Bellefontaine finished 13th with 77.5 points.
Senior Noah Yoesting led the Chieftains with a third-place finish at 152 pounds. He went 4-1 with three pins and a technical fall in the finals. Yoesting handled Warren’s Brock Bowen by a 21-4 tech fall.
Placing fourth for BHS were Makayla Young (106) and Devin Whaley (120), while fifth-place finishes came from Chelsea Horsley (106) and Blayden Hurley (145).
Finishing sixth was Tucker Newland (138), while Josh Lasyone (220) also won a match.
Bellefontaine hosts the first Lady Chieftain Invitational on Saturday. The Chieftain boys host Urbana on Thursday. Feb. 6 for the Route 68 Dual.
