Bellefontaine’s girls tennis team fell to visiting Marysville 1-4 on Wednesday during a non-league match.
The Chieftains lone win came at third singles where Mia Neer defeated Megan Vollrath 6-0, 6-4.
At first singles, Bellefontaine’s Courtney Sims lost to Mallory Huffman 6-1, 6-2. The Chieftains’ Samantha Starkey lost at second singles to Emma Pzedpelski 6-0, 6-0.
Bellefontaine’s first doubles team of Gracie Middaugh and Meng Wang fell to Caylee Hill and Krista O’Shelski 6-0, 6-1. At second doubles, the Chiefs’ Alika Shields and Juila Easton lost to Emily Thallman and Hannah Hogan 6-1, 6-0.
Bellefontaine is back in action today at home against Urbana in a Central Buckeye Conference action.
