Bellefontaine’s varsity bowling teams knocked off London on Friday in Central Buckeye Conference action. The varsity boys team won 2,438-2,289.
“We struggled finding a line, but the boys knew what they needed to do,” said BHS head coach Tammy Overholser.
Landon Gibbs rolled games of 186 and 224 for a 410 series to lead the Chiefs. Beau Salyer had a 213 game. The Chiefs averaged a 185 in the baker portion of the match.
The junior varsity boys team was defeated 1,742-1,732. Ethan Akers had games of 151 and 149 and for 300 series.
Bellefontaine’s varsity girls beat London 2,290-1,791. Lindsey Heminger led the Chiefs with games of 204 and 170 for a 374 series, Kayla Watkins had a 226 and 367 series, Akayla Ryan had games of 179 and 177 game for a 356 series and Ashley Ehmer added a 161 game.
The junior varsity Chiefs won 1,715-1,272. Mollie Smith led the Chiefs with games of 153 and 148 for a 301 series, Orianna Payne had a 157 game and 281 series and Ashlyn Akers had a 143 game.
Raiders sweep North Union
Benjamin Logan’s varsity bowling teams won over North Union on Friday in Central Buckeye Conference matches.
The Raider boys beat the Wildcats 2,368-1,690. Brady Stover had a 217 game and Timmy Porter rolled a 215 game to lead Ben Logan. Falen Thomas added a 177 game.
Ben Logan’s varsity girls won 2,299-1,659. Kaylee Nicholas led the Raiders with games of 201 and 162 for 363 series. Erica Warne rolled games of 168 and 178, Ashley Gantt had games of 182 and 142 and Malori Barnes chipped in games of 146 and 152.
