The Board of Directors of Precision Custom Products Inc. has announced the appointment of Dawn A. Beelman as its new president and general manager, effective Wednesday.
PCPI, founded in 1976, is a DeGraff-based close-tolerance thermoplastics molder focused on producing more than 2,500 high performance industrial components for a variety of global customers.
James Kerg, Jr., PCPI’s chairman and chief executive officer, said Beelman has served the company for more than 35 years and “epitomizes our company’s efforts to develop and promote our associates within our organization.”
“Dawn has literally excelled in virtually every segment of our operations over three decades. Her experience, commitment and ability to develop and empower associates throughout our organization has been exceptional.”
The new president and general manager first joined PCPI as a summer production associate while attending Wittenberg University in 1983. She joined the company full time in 1985 as an office administration staff member.
Most recently serving as the senior vice president and chief financial officer since 2018, Beelman credited the people around her for making her career success possible.
“Working in manufacturing was not on my radar after high school, but God works in mysterious ways,” she said. “It has been an exciting, challenging and rewarding experience these past 36 years.”
In 1990, she was promoted to accounting supervisor and accounting manager in 1991. She was appointed corporate controller in 1995 and played key roles in developing and implementing critical product costing and management information systems.
Beelman was elected as a corporate officer in 2003 and named vice president of finance in 2008. She has served in key leadership roles in the development of the PCPI’s quality systems and strategic management policies.
“Ms. Beelman has not only excelled during her career with ever-growing responsibilities, she has managed to instill those same qualities in the people she motivates throughout the entire organization,” Kerg said.
The company president and general manager has served in a variety of leadership roles within her community, particularly as an active Board member, officer, allocations committee member and president of the United Way of Logan County.
She and her husband, Jeff, are Logan County natives and own a significant certified natural resource homestead in western Logan County.
