Bellefontaine City Schools garnered overwhelming support for its pair of renewal levies in Tuesday’s general election, passing each issue by large margins, and officials said the results bode well for the district’s financial future.
For the school’s $1.185 million emergency operating levy, voters offered a 66 percent approval rating, casting 4,035 votes for the measure and 2,093 against the issue, according to unofficial totals.
Related to the 6.05-mill operating levy, approximately 67 percent of voters approved the issue, and offered 4,072 votes for the issue, while 2,019 votes were cast against the levy, according to unofficial results.
